  • Over a 24 month period, CK has reviewed over 100 properties (approximately two per week) for acquisition consideration. From this, 34 institutional grade properties were selected having an aggregate value of more than $1,900,000,000
  • CK further reduced the properties described above to 15 in nine markets - total value in excess of $900,000,000; each with extensive backup detail to support purchase recommendation

The Process:

  • Identify target markets
  • Work with local brokers to source acquisitions
  • Bottom-up analysis on historic operating performance and projected future performance results
  • Develop detailed market analysis which includes thorough review of all relevant competing properties
  • Design and implement value-add renovation strategy intended to provide competitive advantage while providing features residents want
  • Collaboration with capital market team to source and size non-recourse debt
