Florida Beer Company is Hiding in Plain Sight

I mentioned briefly in the Salt & Sweet post that we often try to find a “diamond in the rough” or hole in the wall restaurant. Its not surprising that some of the best food comes from places that we may pass daily without giving any thought.

Consider the Florida Beer Company. While it is a microbrewery (not a restaurant), it should be noted for the expansive variety of beer, ales, and lagers. Located about a 12 minute drive from The Lakeside at Greenboro Apartments, the Florida Beer Company is located in an old moving and storage company building just south of Old Downtown. On Tuesdays through Saturday’s it is open to visitors.

I wholeheartedly recommend taking a trip to their tasting room, where the bartender will pour tastes of almost all the Florida Beer Company brews. There is a retail outlet in the building where you can purchase any beer, glassware, and t-shirts.
