Treetop Trek is really what is sounds like: an outdoor, obstacle course in the trees above the zoo.

As Metromix Brevard reports, there’s plenty of new things to do at the Brevard Zoo this summer season, and you won’t likely be staying still for any of it!

The Brevard Zoo now features Treetop Trek, a new outdoor attraction featuring obstacle courses, zip lines, and more! Treetop Trek is really what is sounds like: an outdoor, obstacle course in the trees above the zoo. Its broken down into three different courses based off age, athletic ability, and how arduous you’re feeling.

Treetop Trek participants have to undergo a brief (30-45 minute) training before they can be hooked onto a safety harness and let loose.

Chutes and ladders - A children (4-8 yrs old) oriented obstacle course featuring 20 treetop games, bridges, ladders, (etc.), as well as two zip lines and a zip slide. The lowest point of the course is 2 feet off the ground, with the highest point at 8 feet. Cost: $15 per person.

Canopy walk - Geared towards everyone age 9 and older boasts only moderate difficulty. At 20ft off the ground, Canopy Walk features climbing trees, bridges, logs, and plenty of support cables, as well as many superb views from over the various animal enclosures. On average, it takes 45 minutes to complete, and costs $25 per person.

Treetop challenge - An apx 90 minute obstacle course that’s 40ft off the ground, the Treetop Challenge stretches from one end of the zoo to the other, and boasts challenges like a shaky log ladder, a rope swing, and more. Treetop Challenge concludes with a zip line over the alligators and crocodiles. Cost $40.
